Burns Night...

“Some hae meat and canna eat, And some would eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat, Sae let the Lord be thankit. ”

We at Calderfields are holding a Burns Night on Saturday 23rd January to commemorate the life and poetry of the great Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759 – 1796). A real treat for all to enjoy. We adhere to tradition at the start of the evening with the welcoming speech and the Selkirk grace, where everyone will be encouraged to join in. Then the mighty haggis will be borne into the room by the chef to the strains of an authentic piper resplendent in full Scottish Regalia. The master of ceremonies will recite “Address to a haggis”:- “Great chieftain of the pudding race” and a medley of Scottish songs will be sung by one and all.  After which you can enjoy a five course meal and dance to traditional Scottish and modern music until 01:00 A.M.

As usual there will be a DJ playing music until 1AM. Five course meal is included in the Price.. Only £17.95
