Welcome to our Junior Academy Section...
Every junior member who joins Calderfields Golf and Country Club is automatically in the Junior Academy.
This is a thriving section with over forty members all under the age of 18 years of age. The Junior Academy (JA) is run by the JA committee with Josh being the JA Chairperson, Nathan (JA Captain) , Rob (JA Vice Captain) along with Nick Hirst who is the Junior Organiser and another seven helpers.
We arrange monthly competitions, four major competitions, school holiday games, matches against other golfing sections, coaching sessions and evening fun events. All JA member are welcome to come along to these events.

In July 2011 Calderfields Golf And Country Club achieved the English Golf Union nationally recognised Quality standard – The Golfmark award – High Achiever Status. This means that the club has:
- Policies and procedures for a secure future
- A safe and organised environment
- Staff and JA Volunteers are trained to support the needs of the juniors and the beginners
- A fun, enjoyable and welcoming environment
- Provided golfers with appropriate levels of coaching and competitions
- Taught the game of golf to juniors this will help develop their skills for life
- Reassured parents that they are “Junior and Beginner” friendly
- Provided a structured environment for all golfers to develop their skills, with the support from qualified coaches.

The Junior Academy have a charity bunker in the 17th hole, this raised £150.00 in 2010. This was donated to St.Giles Hospice at Walsall in February 2011.
The cheque was presented to Anne Arnott by Josh and watched by Alan ( Golf Club Director) and some JA members.
